Historical Note - Week of December 17th

A deal was made yesterday, whereby J.A. Clark sold to A.T. French of Cinnabar his transportation line between Mammoth Hot Springs and Cooke City. This includes the horses, coaches, wagons, way stations and everything used in the transportation of freight. Mr. French also takes the mail contract to Cooke from Mammoth Hot Springs and will hereafter carry the mail between these points.

James A. Clark has secured an option on the bond held by Tredennick, Orschel and Andrews upon the Rari Avis, Talisman and Acme lodes, in the New World district. The bond is for $20,000, and by its provisions the owners of the property, Messrs. Fraser & Donigin, are to receive $20,000 in June, 1891. These mines are among the more valuable of the camp so far developed, and with proper transportation to Cooke would soon become remunerative producers. Mr. Clark also secured a bond upon the Red Rose, in the same district, from F.A. Krieger. Mr. Clark has gone to St. Paul, where he will interest capitalists in these properties.
