Historical Note - Week of December 10th

W. J. Vin[n]edge of Cooke came down from that camp Thursday evening and will remain in the city until after the January term of court. Mr. Vinnedge reports the past season in the New World district as a prosperous one for the camp, more than the usual amount of development work having been accomplished.

Gazette: Charlie Anderson, a well known eastern Montana mining operator and one of the earliest owners and prospectors in the Cooke City belt, was a visitor to Billings during the week. He has but recently returned from his Cooke properties which are closed down for the winter. A railroad is the Messiah for Cooke City.
