COOKE CITY ROAD OPENS FOR SUMMER TRAVEL

RED LODGE May 26.—The new road to Yellowstone National park was opened to 1934 traffic Friday, when the first motor car traveled over the 60-mile route from here to the Beartooth mining camp.

A bulldozer completed its task of punching an opening in drifts of snow ranging in depth from seven to eight feet in the Long lake region and the first car to make the trip to Cooke City via the Red Lodge route passed through.
