Historic Note - Week of November 20th

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

The Livingston Enterprise, November 20, 1886

Cooke City seems likely to soon have a newspaper, fathered by Dave Boerum. We are informed that two or three hundred dollars has been raised for the purpose of buying a press and material and that the same has already been ordered from the foundry. While, with proper support, a newspaper published at Cooke would be of material benefit in advertising that camp to the outside world, yet it occurs to us that there is not now sufficient patronage to warrant the journalistic venture. A paper that would be of any credit to the camp cannot be operated there short of about $300 per month, and that is a greater sum than there is business for.
