COOKE CITY WILL STAGE RODEO NEXT SUNDAY
Livingston Enterprise: Cooke City, mining camp high in the mountains just outside the northeast boundary of Yellowstone National park, is to have a rodeo of its own. With the new road from Red Lodge open for its second season, the Cooke people expect the event to draw visitors from that city and Billings as well as from Livingston and points west.
A corral and bleachers are being built for the rodeo, which is to take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2. The event will take place at the annual fish fry staged by Cooke people in previous years.
