Historical Note - Week of April 12th
Bozeman Avant Courier, April 18, 1873
For Clark’s Fork.---Quite a number of miners and prospectors have gone, or are outfitting to go, to the Clark’s Fork mines. Very favorable reports have been received from that vicinity, and the parties going there will be prepared to make a thorough exploration of the country, both for quartz and placer mines. It is known that the richest kind of ore abounds in that section, but the great need is facilities for transportation and reduction, and some of the parties will devote themselves to the task of finding a practicable wagon road. We hope they may be successful.
