NOTICE TO ALL MEN. – Notice is hereby given that Francis B. Allen, my wife, having left my bed and board without any just cause, I will not be responsible for any bills contracted by her from this date.

Note: Jack Allen was the proprietor of the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Cooke. They were divorced soon after this notice appeared and he later married Caroline Price Wise. After her death he wed again, a woman about 20 years younger.
