Historical Note - Week of December 13th
Gardiner Wonderland, December 17, 1904
Word from Cooke City is to the effect that that camp is making rapid strides these days. Sawmills are being erected, the ground fixed for the new smelter to be built next year, old mines that have lain idle for years are being developed, logs are being taken out for building purposes, new business is springing up, new men put to work and a general awakening is going on. On to Cooke!
